A booking-ready portfolio for a live sound engineer — plus a mobile CMS he runs himself.

The brief
Ceejay has spent 15+ years behind live consoles and worked over 400 shows, services and broadcasts — but when a promoter, a church or a brand asked what he does, there was nowhere to send them. Every enquiry started from zero: explaining his range across live sound, broadcast, studio and corporate work, and proving the size of the rooms he had already handled. Word of mouth was carrying a career that deserved a front door. He also needed to keep that front door current himself — new shows land constantly, and waiting on a developer to add each one was never going to work.
We built a dark, sound-led site that leads with the work and ends on a booking. It opens on a single promise — sound that holds the room — then moves through his four disciplines, recent shows, client logos and his training programme for younger engineers, before landing on a one-tap WhatsApp booking link. The copy is written in his voice: short, direct, no jargon for its own sake. The build is mobile-first, because that is where his enquiries actually arrive. We also built him a simple, mobile-friendly CMS. Ceejay can add a new project, upload photos, reorder his gallery and publish it live — all from his phone, with no code and no developer in the loop. It is designed to be used with one thumb in a green room, between soundcheck and doors. From the first line of code to the final mix took three days.
Live in three days — and he has been updating it himself ever since.
Design to live
Mobile-first build
Dev hours to update
Three days and it was live. Now I just send one link and people already know what I do before they call. And when a new show wraps, I add it myself from my phone.
